What We Install

Everything your kitchen needs for safe, efficient power and beautiful lighting — designed around your layout and appliances

Dedicated Appliance Circuits

Individual circuits for your oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge freezer. Each one correctly rated and protected at the consumer unit to prevent overloads.

Optimised Socket Layout

Strategically positioned sockets above worktops, inside pantry cupboards, and at island units – so you always have power where you need it, without trailing leads.

Task & Ambient Lighting

Under-cabinet LED strips, recessed downlights, pendant fittings over islands, and plinth lighting – all on separate circuits with dimming control for the perfect atmosphere.

Cooker & Hob Connections

Correctly rated cooker circuits with the appropriate isolator switch, whether you’re installing a range cooker, built-in oven, induction hob, or a combination of both.

Extractor Fan Wiring

Wiring for cooker hoods, ceiling extractors, and recirculating fans – connected to an appropriate isolator with timer or humidistat controls as required.

Full Certification

Every kitchen installation is tested and certified, and you receive a Minor Works or Electrical Installation Certificate depending on the scope of work. Where the work is notifiable, we will advise you on Building Control registration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. High-power appliances such as electric ovens, hobs, dishwashers, washing machines, and fridges each require their own dedicated circuit with an appropriately rated MCB in the consumer unit. This prevents circuit overloads and nuisance tripping, and it’s a requirement of the current BS 7671 wiring regulations.

The IET On-Site Guide recommends at least six double sockets above the worktop for small appliances, plus dedicated connection points for each built-in appliance. In a modern kitchen, we typically install 8–12 socket outlets in total, depending on your layout and appliance requirements. We’ll advise on the ideal number and position during our free site visit.

Absolutely. Under-cabinet LED strip lighting is one of the most popular upgrades in a kitchen refit. We wire in dedicated circuits for task lighting, under-cabinet LEDs, plinth lights, and feature lighting, all controlled by separate switches or smart dimmers.

Adding new circuits in a kitchen is notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations. We carry out and test the work to BS 7671 and provide an Electrical Installation Certificate; as notifiable work it also needs registering with Building Control, and we’ll advise you on how that’s handled for your job.

Yes. We regularly coordinate with kitchen installers, plumbers, and tilers. We carry out first-fix wiring before the kitchen units go in, then return for second-fix connections once the units, worktops, and appliances are in place. This keeps your project running smoothly.
