Outdoor Power Supply

Outdoor sockets in the UK should be rated at least IP66, which means they are fully dust-tight and protected against powerful jets of water. We use high-quality IP66 enclosures with spring-loaded covers that protect the socket when not in use. All outdoor circuits are also protected by a 30mA RCD for additional safety.

No. Standard indoor sockets have no weatherproofing and are extremely dangerous in outdoor environments. Exposure to rain, damp, and condensation can cause electric shock, short circuits, and fire. You need a properly installed weatherproof outdoor socket on a dedicated, RCD-protected circuit. Running extension leads through windows is also unsafe and should be avoided.

We install a wide range of outdoor lighting including LED deck lights, pathway bollards, wall-mounted up/down lights, spike spotlights for highlighting trees and features, and festoon lighting for entertaining areas. We can install these on a dedicated circuit with a timer or smart switch so you can control them from inside or via your phone.

Yes. We can run an armoured cable (SWA) from your consumer unit to a shed, garage, workshop, or garden office and install a small sub-distribution board with lighting, sockets, and heating circuits as needed. This is notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations; we test and certify the installation to BS 7671 and will advise you on Building Control registration.
