Hot Tub Wiring

Hot tub electrical installation across Manchester and Tameside. A dedicated, RCD-protected circuit in armoured cable, run from your consumer unit to a weatherproof isolator by the tub — fully compliant with BS 7671 for outdoor and wet locations.

What's Involved

A compliant hot tub supply comes down to three things done right.

Dedicated Circuit

A circuit just for the tub, sized to its load, so it never overloads or shares with the rest of the house.

Armoured Cable Run

Tough steel-wire armoured cable, buried or clipped on a safe route, that stands up to garden tools, ground movement and rodents.

Weatherproof Isolator

A lockable, weatherproof isolation switch within sight of the tub, so it can be safely switched off for servicing.

Done Properly

Outdoor and wet means there is no cutting corners on safety.

RCD Protection

A 30mA RCD that cuts the power in a fraction of a second if there is a fault — essential for any wet-location circuit.

Right Cable for the Load

The cable and protection are sized to your specific tub, so it runs reliably without nuisance tripping or voltage drop.

Tested & Certified

The new circuit is fully tested and issued with an Electrical Installation Certificate, so you know it is safe.
