On a standard single-phase UK home supply, the Tesla Wall Connector delivers up to 7.4kW, which adds roughly 30 miles of range per hour. If your property has a 3-phase supply, it can deliver up to 22kW – adding up to 44 miles per hour. Most Tesla owners find that 7.4kW overnight charging is more than enough for daily driving needs.

The Gen 3 Tesla Wall Connector uses a Type 2 connector, which is compatible with most modern electric vehicles – not just Teslas. However, some features like load sharing between units only work with Tesla vehicles. If you have a mixed household, we can advise on the best setup.

Load sharing allows two or more Tesla Wall Connectors installed at the same property to share the available electrical supply. When both cars are charging, the power is split between them. When only one car is plugged in, it gets the full power. This lets you charge two Teslas on a single circuit without upgrading your main supply.

Wi-Fi is recommended but not strictly required for basic charging. However, Wi-Fi enables over-the-air firmware updates, integration with the Tesla app for remote monitoring and scheduling, and access to future features Tesla may release. We connect the Wall Connector to your home Wi-Fi and verify the connection during installation.
